quick news: Not Sure When to Work for Free?

As classical musicians, we’re often confused with free entertainment. Sing for your aunt’s wedding? Sure, why not? Perform for your friend’s start-up opera company? Heck, it will be great for the résumé.  Pitch in some admin time for your nearest non-profit? Good karma is trading higher than the dollar these days…

Alas, how can you tell when it is not a good idea to work for free? Well, Tina Roth Eisenberg – the creative and stylish mind behind SwissMiss – featured this flowchart yesterday.
