Based on what? Also, is this an actual statistic-gathering entity, or was it more of an “ask-the-students” kind of situation?

“The Top 100 Colleges Ranking guides are calculated by cost, Fall Acceptance Rate, Peer Assessment Score, Average Freshman Retention Rate, 6-Year Graduate Rate, SAT/ACT 25th – 75th percentiles, 2009 Freshmen in Top 10 percent of high school classes, Classes with under 20 students, and Classes with 50 or more students in 2009.”

The site does not specify which statistics it used to get the “Top-Ranked Music Schools” but I’m assuming they follow a similar pattern to those listed above.

      Good question!
